Pale Ales are defined by a somewhat uniform taste: citrusy, light with a slight hint of bitterness at the end of the sip. Most craft beer enjoyers have fallen in love with the classic pale ale taste. Still, microbreweries across the UK are always looking for exciting new flavours that will surprise even the most devout of IPA fans.
The Honeycomb Pale Ale from Seven Bro7hers is a deliciously sweet beer with a truly unique taste that’s quickly become one of my favourite go-to’s. So if you’re looking for an innovative twist on the pale ale formula, check out our Backyard Beers First Sip Review below!
Who are Seven Bro7hers?
Seven Bro7hers Brewery was founded by, funnily enough, seven brothers! Guy, Keith, Luke, Dan, Nathan, Kit and Greg founded the brewery in 2014. Based in Salford, the brothers were inspired by their father eric – who produced his own ales in the cellar of their childhood home. Seven Bro7hers passion for beers stems back to that very cellar, which can be felt in every sip of their beer. The team has an evident passion for brewing and ales of all kinds, leading to solid foundations and innovative twists that have proved popular across the UK!
Honeycomb Pale Ale Review
Honeycomb Pale Ale is one of the most popular ales for sale at Backyard Beers. We offer this Seven Bro7hers beer at £3.50 per 4.30% ABV 440ml can.
Design
Seven Bro7hers utilises a large, distinct seven on the front of every can, with the design varying between each beer. The Honeycomb Pale Ale continues this tradition with a gorgeously warm palette of gold, orange, and blue. The can is smooth to the touch and a true treat on the eyes. The Seven Bro7hers design motif serves them well!
Taste
The best way I can describe this Honeycomb Pale Ale is as if you took a brilliant pale ale and somehow gave it the strong flavour of a stout. That classic citrus flavour you expect from a pale ale is pleasant, but the toffee-Esque honey flavour quickly sweeps in to treat the sweet tooth.
Conclusion
As Seven Bro7hers rightly states, this beer is one of the sweetest in their collection. I will definitely recommend this to craft beer beginners from now on, as it’s a truly unique flavour I feel anyone can enjoy.
