Award-winning, self-sustained cider with a long-standing heritage behind it is hard to come by in the modern market, but Celtic Marches certainly deliver.
Thundering Molly Review
Thundering Molly is a renowned cider from Celtic Marches, brewed from Herefordshire apples. It is a popular product in our range of craft ciders, coming in at £3 per 330ml can.
Thundering Molly Cider features an appealing design, utilising an all-around wrap to give the can a light, off-white colour. The design harkens back to that classic 50’s pin-up look, perfect for the traditional taste held within this can. One exciting benefit to the production method used for the can that often goes overlooked is the feel in hand. Some textured labels can feel gritty or cheap. Thundering Molly feels smooth and comfortable. I can’t see myself having any trouble with this can on a summer day!
There must be something in those Herefordshire apples because Thundering Molly tastes simply divine. Celtic Marches have created a cider that treats the nose even before it hits your mouth. Thundering Molly features strong hints of apple that serve as an excellent precursor to the taste you’ll soon enjoy. This cider is sweet and sharp, with a slightly bitter aftertaste that marks it as a cider. Thundering Molly truly embodies the phrase well-rounded. You’d hardly know this was a 5.2% ABV drink if Celtic Marches didn’t print it on the can. Each sip goes down smoothly and sweetly.
Thundering Molly is a cider I can see myself enjoying over a long session. Many ciders can quickly become too overbearing, saturating the tastebuds with bittersweet flavours after just one can. Two Thundering Mollys were not enough for me. I wish I’d received more!
Celtic Marches have proven their heritage and prowess once again with Thundering Molly. Sweet as a cider should be in a can one can truly savour and enjoy. We can’t recommend it enough. Browse our range of craft beers and ciders today for more delicious flavours like this!
